This time of the year is one of my favorites, with fresh blackberries to pick. My kids and I especially love eating fresh blackberries right off the vine. But when the berries become abundant enough that some of them actually make it into the house, instead of straight into our bellies, blackberry cobbler is one of our favorite things to make with them.

You will notice, my recipe is quite modified from many traditional blackberry cobbler recipes, that include white flour and refined sugar. Whether you are sensitive to gluten, or just trying to eat healthier, this is my delicious gluten-free recipe. It has even been well liked by many family and friends who do not regularly eat gluten-free.
I love to make desserts a little healthier than the average. Desserts have always been my favorite part of a meal. My thinking is, if I eat healthier versions of desserts, then I do not feel guilty at all for eating them, and I can really enjoy them. I hope you enjoy my recipes too!
